There is much talk of the ‘gig economy’, but the executive end of the talent spectrum has not yet been referenced in the discussion. At the same time, the interim executive market, though quite strong in Europe, has never really taken off at scale in the US – perhaps now the time is right? We will be joined by Tracy Anderson, who is teaching and studying for her PhD with Peter Cappelli at Wharton, and who will share with us her research on this space – who are these ‘executive temps’, and what are the opportunities & challenges for employers.

We will touch on some highlights from this year’s Annual Benchmark Survey, discuss any surprises, and use it as a baseline to explore what we might do differently as a function moving forward.

We have heard from speakers on the magic of predictive analytics before, but always with a focus on keeping talent. Finally, one startup has dared to venture into the world of finding and approaching talent, using similar tools working with publicly available ‘big data’. We learn from EngageTalent Founder & CEO, Joseph Hanna how they do what they do, and how it will help us predict when the executives we seek are ready for their next opportunity.

Dr. Kenneth Freeman has a unique perspective: he has served as a Fortune 500 CEO (Quest Diagnostics), as a board director (Dow Corning, TRW, HCA, Masonite) and as an investor (KKR). Now, as Dean of the Boston University Questrom School of Business, he is drawing on that vast leadership experience to help deliver the ethical leaders that industry needs today - perhaps now more than ever, and will discuss with us his most recent thinking on the topic.
