10:30 am Semler Brossy: Shedding Light on Executive Compensation
Executive compensation is a complicated world, which some embrace, and others fear. Stephen Charlebois, a Principal at executive compensation consulting firm Semler Brossy, has agreed to help shed some light on that world, drawing on his years of experience in the space. Steve will discuss how compensation is only part of the candidate value proposition, how to think about parity within existing executives when hiring from the outside, the appropriate mix of cash versus equity when making offers, among other topics.

1:00 pm ExecThread: Disrupting the Executive Hiring Model
Joe Meyer, Founder and CEO of startup ExecThread was looking for a new role when he experienced inefficiency with the process of working with external recruiters. As a result, he changed his focus from looking for a job to figuring out how to reinvent the job discovery process for executives. The result is ExecThread, a crowdsourced platform which enables executives to learn about career opportunities directly from other platform participants. Joe will tell us about the model, and discuss the company’s plans moving forward.
