We explore the evolution of executive recruiting, the challenges of competing for leadership talent and what kinds of corporate initiatives have been successful in managing search activity and improving hiring effectiveness. This includes the business case for an executive recruiting program and how to educate key players in your organization on their roles in making it work.

Anatomy of an executive search engagement - what really happens - and what hiring organizations need to know to make searches succeed. Here we take a detailed look at recruiting tactics and processes: a fundamental overview of how talent is identified and reeled in at search firms and by in-house search teams.

Managing the client, the hiring team, and the interview process takes some courage and ideally some experience – after all, these are very senior executives that we are dealing with. In this segment, we delve into any questions brought to the table from the prior day’s discussions, as well as collectively dig into challenges that participants are currently having and upon which they would like some group insight.

9:30am            Case Study in Building a Global Foundation: The Coca-Cola Company

One of the world’s most iconic brands, The Coca-Cola Company operates in many different countries and is recognized everywhere. Which also means they have executives all over the world – and therefore searches to complete in some interesting locations. John essentially built the function from the foundation up and will share his experiences, lessons learned in building a global function, and his plans for the next generation of leadership search at the organization.

Though Providence St. Joseph Health has been constantly expanding and changing, Director of Executive Recruiting, Russell Podgorski, has managed to not only keep the trains running, but also grow the team, increase the services provided, and increase the quality of service, all while reducing the time to deliver! We will hear Russell’s tips for creating a healthy, strong executive recruiting function, as well as his plans for further integration with the talent management function at Providence St. Joseph Health.
