In less than two decades, Box has made a huge impact on their space, with 95,000 companies as customers (including 70% of the Fortune 500), and a recent award of being named one of Fortune’s ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’. Yet at the same time, their credo and website include the culture statement, ‘Make Mom Proud’, which is unlikely to be on many corporate PR pages. Executive recruiting function leader, Heike Hiss, will share with us how her team is able to find leaders in a hyper-competitive, high-growth industry who are also going to fit with, and augment, the current culture of the organization.

AI is everywhere in recruiting software articles at the moment yet even if the products are truly AI-enabled, most of these tools appear to be about selecting applicants. In our space, however, we are always on the hunt for passive talent – and ideally diverse prospects. A new startup, SeekOut, is attempting to help us in our quest by scouring public data and using natural-language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) technologies to search among millions of people and understand the expertise of each prospect. In addition, they have a particular focus on diversity, including a ‘Blind Hiring Mode’ to help reduce bias. To explain how it all works and what the products can do for us, we will be joined by CEO Anoop Gupta, who will share with us some use cases for their products and services.
